A SOLAR OVEN MADE IN BOLIVIA

"The Sunday market has become a useful stage to promote educational and informative programs. One of them is La Roca, a project of engineering services that was presented to the public yesterday.

"This project, sponsored by Bolivia Int France, teaches building solar ovens as a valid ecological option for the population. The kitchens, made of recyclable materials such as wood and sheep’s wool, cook any food quickly and economically.

"Up to now, the project has worked with four groups in the Cristo Rey area and it expects to give instruction to another 12 groups by the end of the year."

El Prado, La Paz, A Big Solar Cooking Demonstration in the Heart of the City. 45 volunteer solar cooks fed hundreds of spectators from 30 solar box ovens. The Bolivian Air Force band played for the occasion.
