SHE/SCI volunteers at the STAR-TIDES event in October

As part of their mission to spread the use of solar cooking, Solar Household Energy and Solar Cookers International participate in activities such as the annual technology demonstration organized by STAR-TIDES (Sharing To Accelerate Research – Transformative Innovation for Development and Emergency Support) in Washington DC. In addition to a description of the various models and benefits of solar cookers, a locally based volunteer Afzal Syed explains how a solar cooker works and a Kenyan householder expresses her appreciation of this technology.
