Lorena Harp wins WWSF’s Prize for Women’s Creativity in Rural Life!

We are delighted to share the news that Lorena Harp, our solar cooking champion in Mexico for over 20 years, has been awarded the prestigious Prize for Women’s Creativity in Rural Life, with an award of $1000 USD, by the Women’s World Summit Foundation (WWSF)!

She is among the 8 Laureates chosen by the WWSF Prize Jury for the 2025 awards. As of to-date, WWSF has awarded 500 prizewinners in over 120 countries (1994-2025). Her award page, story and impact on rural women is featured on the WWSF website: https://www.woman.ch/laureate-2-maria

Each year on  “International Day  of  Rural  Women  – 15 October”, WWSF awards its annual selected Laureates with the Prize, and shares samples of celebrations organized in their local communities. We at SHE will share photos and information about this well-deserved celebration soon!
